Birth Doula Support

DSC08990.jpeg

Hi! I'm Rachel,

a doula & educator serving birthing families in my hometown of Miami, Florida.

I've supported over 100 births & counting!

My doula journey started in New York City, where I received my masters degree and

a certificate in Reproductive and Maternal Well-being from Colombia University.

My work is grounded academically, while weaving in traditional wisdom and a passion for walking alongside women through the greatest transition of their lives.

A What?!

A doula! (Pronounced doo-luh). Doulas are trained professionals, providing physical, emotional, and informational support to pregnant people before, during, and after labor.

Research has shown that people who received doula support during their labor were more likely to have a vaginal birth, less likely to require medical intervention, and were more likely to have a positive birth experience.

Labor Support

During your birth, I act as a source of physical, emotional, educational, and advocacy support. I am totally focused on you and your needs at every moment. Whether you're needing hands-on massage, positioning suggestions, or reassurance, I'll be there to hold a calm and grounding presence while helping you maintain a relaxed state of body and mind.

Having an experienced profession alongside you,

every step of the way, will put you and your partner at ease.

Before & After

I will guide you in exploring your preferences around pregnancy and birth, ease overwhelm, and answer all your questions.

Soon after delivery, I come to your home to check in on the well-being of your new family. I provide a nourishing batch of postpartum healing soup, and offer personalized support or referrals for your specific needs.

If you are interested in extended postpartum care, I offer an extended Holistic Postpartum Program.
